Sofia Gentil

Sofia Gentil was born and raised in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and moved to the United States in 2012. From a young age, she developed a deep appreciation for entertainment and visual arts, including graphic novels and manga, television and film.

As REACH’s Education Coordinator, Sofia supports the planning, coordination, and day-to-day success of on-site educational programs. She collaborates closely with teaching artists, students, families, and staff to ensure classes run smoothly and foster equitable access to arts education through strong communication, organization, and classroom support.

As an educator, Sofia uses art games to encourage curiosity, confidence, and creative play. Her artistic practice is playful and humorous, exploring introspective narratives inspired by education, psychology, and the ordinary details of everyday life.
