At REACH, life drawing sessions offer a classic approach to building drawing skills through direct observation. You'll start with quick warm-up sketches and gradually move into longer poses of 10 minutes or more with our partially clothed model. Students work independently through the series of drawing exercises, guided by Teaching Artist Craig Horky, who is available to answer questions or provide feedback. If you have never been to a life drawing class before, this type of class leans on personal artist expression and exploration, with limited intervention from the instructor. Join us for an inspiring environment to explore and create alongside other creatives! This class meets Wednesdays, January 14 - March 4 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm.
All materials are provided for you to stand or sit at an easel. All are welcome, come as you are, no experience needed. Come to one or more sessions! Pre-registration preferred, not required. Sessions have a hard limit of 10 participants and are first-come, first-served.
This class is open to adults and teens ages 13+. If you are registering someone ages 18 or younger and are interested in a scholarship, please contact us at 517-999-3643 or info@reachstudioart.org.
