REACH Studio Art Center seeks Lansing area teaching artists to lead a variety of engaging art classes and workshops for tots, youth, teens, and adults!
We are looking for individuals that have experience bringing arts-based curriculum and content to young people and/or adults. Candidates must possess a genuine love of and enthusiasm for working with children, youth, teens, or adults.
REACH is currently looking for Teaching Artists in the following areas:
SUMMER CAMP 2019 ~
We still need two more teaching artists later this summer for our camp programs! Currently searching for instructors to lead one of two AM sessions of summer camps, 9:00am-12:00pm, M-F, for ages 6-12.
- July 29 – August 2: One MUSICIAN/ARTIST needed to teach during Performing Arts: Music & Theatre week and lead the AM morning camp that is centered on. “Music, rhythm & art making”
- August 12-16: One DESIGNER/ARTIST needed to teach during the Design & Digital Art week and lead the AM morning camp that is centered on “Fun with the foundations of design in digital and analog media.”

2019-2020 FALL, WINTER, & SPRING TERMS: After-School, Evening, & Saturday Classes ~
We welcome class proposals from artists in a broad range or disciplines and media. We are currently most in need of artists in the following areas:
- Life Drawing: We are piloting a new life drawing program, if you are an experienced life drawing artist and teacher and interested in bringing your talents to REACH, please contact sara@reachstudioart.org
- Digital art classes: specifically digital photography, time-based media
- Fiber arts
- Performing arts
- Painting for youth and adults
- Creative Tots teachers
General Program Scheduling Info:
REACH’s studio art classes are offered once weekly during the school year for a duration of eight weeks, in a broad range of artistic disciplines. Monday through Friday classes typically start at 4:30pm or 6:30pm and last for 1 or 1.5 hours (depending on age range). Saturday classes typically start at 10:30am or 1:00pm. Classes are designed for and offered to four main age groups: Tots (2-5), Youth (6-12), Teens (13-18), & Adults (18+). All programs take place on-site at our location in one of six studio spaces available:
- Main Classroom
- Teen Studio
- Fiber Arts Studio
- Performing Arts Studio
- Media Lab
- Clay Studio

- *no class during week of Lansing School District spring break
