  • A Not So Silent Night

Every December, REACH holds this annual fundraising gala which includes a silent auction of art and other giftable items. Learn more about A Not So Silent Night and Featured Artist Show here.

  • Spring Thing Open House

On the first Saturday after Memorial Day Weekend, REACH invites visitors and Lansing residents to enjoy creative activities and demonstrations in our studio spaces. See special exhibitions in our gallery, get a tour of the campus of seven studio spaces and visit with REACH staff, volunteers, and artists. Sometimes our Spring Thing takes place in partnership with Lansing’s Be A Tourist in Your Own Town event, with a CATA. bus stop right outside our facility.

  • Student Art Shows and Open Houses

In the spring, and at the end of summer each year, and occasionally in October (HallowTeen Show), REACH mounts an exhibition of student work in the gallery. Students are invited to enter up to three pieces of art they made in the recent program terms at REACH and may choose to sell their art or exhibit as not for sale. Along with student art, attendees enjoy fun art-making activities and studio tours.

  • Festivals

The Lansing Area is full of festivals and REACH loves to participate in several of these events by facilitating art-making activities for youth or for the whole family. You can look for REACH at the East Lansing Arts Festival, the Old Town Scrapfest, the City of Lansing Connect 4 Kids event at the Lansing Center, and the Art Attack in REO Town from time to time. In addition, REACH is often one of the venues hosting the Capital City Film Festival in April.

  • Alice’s Mad Hatter Tea Party

Croquet anyone? In May sometimes, we throw a tea party with delicious treats to eat and drink all around a long table set to perfection in our performing arts studio. Costumed servers provide entertainment, serve guests at the table, and facilitate fun family-friendly activities happening around the REACH campus such as a dress-up photo booth, croquet in the courtyard, face painting, and more. Costumes are encouraged! Learn more about current plans here.

    REACH Adult Student Art Show

Our gallery space and sometimes our performing arts studio provide appealing spaces for special engagement art exhibitions whether mounted by REACH or leased by other organizations. Student art exhibits also take place in the gallery each year. Current exhibition information can be found here when happening.
