We have 7 full weeks of Summer Art Camp planned for ages 6-13. That’s 14, M-Th half day sessions and 14 Friday Workshops covering art media of all sorts, from painting to poetry, and robot sculptures to tie-dyeing. Most of our Friday Workshops will be clay, but we’ve thrown in a few drawing and painting workshops as well.
REACH will also provide a limited number of Monday-Thursday (half day) scholarships and Friday AM or PM workshop scholarships. Scholarships will be based on need and distributed first-come-first-served while they last. Scholarships are limited to 1 scholar per family. Summer Camp Week 6 PM (Aug 6-10): Art of the Seen and the Unseen will feature Impression 5 Science Center staff teaching the lessons!
We also have a ton of cool stuff for teens to do this summer, from our Teen Open Studio, which focuses on portfolio development and Community Art Projects on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30-6:30pm June 13-August 16, and a Kids Clay Pottery Wheel class offered on 5 consecutive Thursdays from June 14 – July 12, as well as July 19-August 16.

TOS – Beats: A hands-on experience in beat-making. Students will acquire a base knowledge of music theory and software centered music production. Mondays.
TOS – Rhymes: A comprehensive hip-hop Lyric and Song Composition course. In this program, students will develop a base knowledge of Rhyme Writing as it relates to Hip-Hop music. Mondays.
TOS- CAPS: Work on Community Art Projects with your peers and guest artists to build leadership, teamwork, and art skills, and put more art in our community! Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Click here to learn more about TOS portfolio and CAPS!
TOS- Portfolio: Spend time developing individual projects of your own, independently and with artist mentors. Opportunity to exhibit and sell your work in REACH’s Youth Gallery! Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Click here to learn more about TOS portfolio and CAPS!
TOS- Digital Art: Learn how to manipulate video and photos using After Effects and Photoshop software in REACH’s brand new media lab. Thursdays.
TOS- Special Engagement: Young Film Editor’s Camp: Join guest trailer editor, Brian Brinkman (The Asylum, Los Angeles) in a week-long, intensive introduction to the post-production process using REACH’s brand new media lab! Learn how to edit video footage to create a fun, dynamic and engaging short promotional film that will tell a story about REACH! We’ll cover the essentials of visual storytelling, importing and organizing footage, basic sound design, and simple color correction.
