Summer Art Camps

 

Registration is live for Summer Art Camps 2022!

We have seven great afternoon art camps (12:30-3:30pm) planned for you this summer, along with an extended day option (3:30-5:30), full and partial scholarships based on household income and more. Camps are for 6-12 year olds and our registration is now open!
Week 1: 6/20 – 6/24

Week 2: 6/27 – 7/1
Art & Nature – Drawing & Printmaking. Instructor: Lena Ellis-Boatman
Week 3: 7/11 – 7/15
Abstract and Wacky Art. Instructor: Erika Noud
Week 4: 7/18 – 7/22
Digital Art – Fun with Photoshop. Instructor: Elijah Forbes
Week 5: 7/25 – 7/29
Exploration in Outer Space. Instructor: Kara Davis
Week 6: 8/1 – 8/5
The Language of Theater. Instructor: Miranda Hartmann
Week 7: 8/8 – 8/12

Fashion and Film – Full STEAM Ahead

A special STEAM*-inspired, 2-week day camp for Middle-School Girls funded in part by Capital Area United Way Women Grant Program.
Taking place August 1 – 12, M-F only, 10:30am-4:30pm
*STEAM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math

20 middle-school (6th-8th) girls who qualify based on household income, level of commitment, capacity to benefit, and demonstration of interest will be chosen to participate in FASHION & FILM Camp in one of the project tracks:
Film Track (digital media / film-making) – up to 8 applicants will be chosen
Fashion Track (fashion design, sewing, fiber arts) – up to 12 applicants will be chosen.
The special program will feature a screening and run-way show celebrating camp student projects at the end of the 2-week project. Date and time TBA.

If you are or know a Middle School aged girl who is interested in this special FASHION AND FILM CAMP please apply for the program here. There is a $5 non-refundable application fee. The application includes questions to be answered by the prospective participant, and an adult parent or guardian. Applicants will need to provide contact information and name of a teacher or youth leader who can be a reference for their admitance into the program.

For the safety and health of all our students, visitors, and staff our safety protocol for attending any in-person classes or programs at REACH during summer term will require masks at all times inside our facility (summer camp will include snack breaks outside where masks are not required).

Proof of COVID vaccination will NOT be required by any age group attending REACH programs.
